Nashik, August 2026: Under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh, Horizon International Academy successfully conducted a meeting of the School Transport Committee. The meeting focused on various important aspects of ensuring the safe, secure, and disciplined transportation of students.
The meeting was attended by distinguished guests including Mrs. Varsha Borse (Police Sub-Inspector, Ambad Police Station), Mrs. Swati Gothwal (Woman Police Constable), Mr. Manish Deore (Motor Vehicle Inspector), Mr. Dhairyashil Patil (Representative of the Local Authority), Mr. Rajaram Bagul (Private Bus Contractor), and Mrs. Tanuja Firke (Parent-Teacher Association Representative).
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on school bus safety, regular vehicle inspections, the responsibilities of drivers and attendants, safety rules to be followed by students during travel, emergency facilities available in school buses, CCTV surveillance, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and strict adherence to traffic regulations.
Mrs. Varsha Borse emphasized the importance of effective coordination among parents, the school, and the transport management to ensure the safety of students. Mr. Manish Deore provided detailed guidance on vehicle fitness, mandatory documentation, and compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act and transport regulations. All committee members expressed their commitment to implementing the necessary measures to ensure safe and secure transportation for students.
The meeting was planned and coordinated by the school administration.
Expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries for their valuable presence, Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh reiterated that the safety and well-being of students remain the school’s highest priority and appealed to all stakeholders to work collectively towards maintaining a safe and efficient school transport system.
