Nashik, August 2026: A meeting of the POSH Committee (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) for women at the workplace was recently held at Horizon International Academy under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh.
Adv. Deepali Ahire attended the meeting as the key resource person. She provided detailed guidance on various legal provisions related to women’s safety at the workplace, women’s rights, the roles and responsibilities of the POSH Committee, and the procedure for addressing complaints.
During the meeting, several important matters were discussed with the objective of creating a safe, respectful, and positive work environment for women within the institution. The importance of maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity, impartiality, and adherence to legal procedures while handling complaints was emphasized.
Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh stated that the school administration is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and discrimination-free environment for all staff members and students. Emphasis was also placed on undertaking necessary initiatives to create greater awareness regarding women’s safety.
The meeting further strengthened awareness regarding safety, equality, dignity, and legal provisions within the institution. The meeting marked an important step towards building a safe and positive work culture through the POSH Committee.
