Horizon International Academy organised a Ganpati workshop with the objective of encouraging students’ artistic talents and creating awareness about Indian culture and environmental conservation. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of the school Principal, Mrs. Poonam Singh, and on the initiative of the Art Department.
During the workshop, students were trained to make eco-friendly Ganesha idols using Shadu clay. They were introduced to the importance of using Shadu clay for making Ganesha idols, its environmental significance, and the various stages involved in creating an idol using traditional methods. Students enthusiastically used their creativity to shape the Shadu clay and created beautiful and attractive Ganesha idols.
The students participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm and interest. They demonstrated their creativity while shaping the clay, designing the Ganesha idols, adding intricate details, and giving the idols a final form. The activity helped enhance their imagination, concentration, observation skills, and artistic abilities.
On the occasion, Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh appreciated the efforts of the students. She emphasised that along with academic activities, initiatives related to art, culture, and environmental awareness play an important role in the holistic development of students. Through the creation of Ganesha idols using Shadu clay, the workshop conveyed the message of “Preserving the Environment Along with Tradition.”
The workshop, conducted under the guidance of the Art Department, proved to be an enjoyable, creative, and enriching experience for the students. Such activities not only help students connect with Indian culture and traditions but also encourage them to understand the importance of celebrating festivals in an eco-friendly manner.
